Available Space delivers dynamic accessible public art by South Florida artists to neighborhoods in Dade & Broward Counties. Available Space identifies under-utilized, vacant commercial sites or retail storefront and acts as liaison between property owners & artists to produce, present & creatively market public art with a lighter footprint: portable, temporary, interactive, w/educational & interpretive programming.
Available Space provides a unique platform for landlords, property managers and local artists to promote both real estate and talent, while enriching communities with art and stimulating dialogue on the intersection of public art & urban life.
From vacant storefronts, loft spaces to empty lots- these otherwise ‘dead’ storefronts & facades, will be transformed by Available Space and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods.
The Available Space team is led by arts administrator Erika Pastoriza & design strategist Annhy Shim, and artist Michelle Weinberg.
